To power on the GC-1001 metal detector, you need to open the battery cover with a screwdriver and install one 9V alkaline battery correctly, paying attention to the anode and cathode of the battery. Once the battery is installed, recover the battery cover and tighten the xxxx . Hold the handle of the metal detector and press the power switch up to the ON position. After 1-2 seconds of auto-scanning, the green Ready lights on the front and back panel will illuminate, indicating that the metal detector is in normal operation.
When the detection area of the metal detector sweeps through a metal object, such as a coin, the speaker will give off audio alerts and the red Alert lights on the front and back face of the detector will illuminate. For larger metal objects, the audio tone will be higher than for smaller objects. You can also connect a 3.5mm earphone through the earphone jack for silent operation, where the earphone will give off audio alerts instead of the speaker.
To power off the metal detector, simply release the power switch, and it will return to the OFF position automatically.
