To install and set up the EATON CWGA-00-01 Battery Water Guard Detector, follow these steps:
1. Mounting: Ensure that the device is not installed in a location accessible to children. Choose a suitable location for installation.
2. Power Supply: The device is powered by a CR2477N 3Vdc battery with a service life of up to 5 years. Install the battery in the device.
3. Water Sensor: The device has two contacts at the bottom for the on-device water sensor. If you want to use an external flat-cable water sensor, connect it to the device.
4. External Sensor (Optional): If you are using an external sensor, follow these steps to apply the sensor cable:
a. Ensure that the surface where you will mount the sensor cable is clean, dry, and dust-free.
b. Avoid touching the exposed adhesive area on the sensor cable.
c. Press the sensor cable firmly onto the surface.
d. Once mounted, the adhesive tape cannot be reused.
5. Basic Mode: Connect the water detector to the battery to activate the basic mode.
6. Removing Water Detector: To remove the water detector, disconnect it from the battery.
7. Back to Factory Default: If needed, you can reset the device to its factory default settings.
8. LED During Operation: The LED on the device indicates different statuses, such as low battery or no RF communication.
