To connect the A 4493 Input Source Selector Remote Plate to the A 4480 Audio Switcher, you will need to follow these steps:
1. Locate the RJ45 connection on the rear of the A 4493 wall plate.
2. Connect one end of a Cat5e cable or similar data cable to the RJ45 connection on the A 4493 wall plate.
3. Connect the other end of the Cat5e cable to the RJ45 connection on the A 4480 Audio Switcher.
4. If you are using the A 4931 Local Input Wall Plate, locate the RJ45 connection on the A 4493 wall plate labeled "A 4931 Local Input Wall Plate."
5. Connect one end of another Cat5e cable or similar data cable to the RJ45 connection on the A 4493 wall plate labeled "A 4931 Local Input Wall Plate."
6. Connect the other end of the Cat5e cable to the RJ45 connection on the A 4931 Local Input Wall Plate.
Please refer to Figure 1 in the manual for a visual representation of the connections.
Note: You can connect a maximum of eight A 4493 remote plates to the A 4480 Audio Switcher, with a maximum of one wall plate per zone.
