To connect the TREON Gateway to the internet, you have three options: Ethernet cable connection, cellular connection, or Wi-Fi connection. Here are the steps for each method:
1. Ethernet Cable Connection:
- Attach an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet cable connector (D) on the gateway.
2. Cellular Connection:
- Unplug the gateway's power cable from the wall outlet.
- Open the SIM card slot lid (E) by inserting your fingernail into the seam between the lid and the back cover and lifting it.
- Slide the SIM card holder to the right to unlock it and lift it up.
- Place the micro SIM card in the holder with the contact area facing down, and close the holder.
- Slide the holder to the left to lock it into place, and put back the lid.
3. Wi-Fi Connection:
- Press the configuration button (F) until the status light (A) starts blinking. This puts the gateway into configuration mode and turns it into a Wi-Fi access point.
- On your phone, computer, or tablet, connect to the access point named "tre-ongw1-serialnumber" (replace "serialnumber" with the actual serial number of your gateway).
- Enter the provided password (separately provided with the gateway). If using Windows 10, select the "password" option instead of a pin code.
- Open a browser on your device and go to the address "192.168.0.1".
- Make the necessary configurations, such as changing the gateway access point password and setting up a Wi-Fi connection.
- To exit the configuration mode, select "Quit" or press and hold the configuration button (F) until the status light stops blinking.
