To activate the ELRO FS4610 Smoke Alarm, follow these steps:
1. Install the smoke alarm in the desired location on either the ceiling or wall, ensuring it is securely mounted.
2. Insert a fresh 9V battery into the battery compartment. Make sure to follow the correct polarity indicated inside the compartment.
3. Once the battery is inserted, the smoke alarm will automatically activate and enter its normal operating mode.
Please note that the smoke alarm is equipped with a self-test mechanism that performs automatic tests at least once a month. During a successful test, the detector will beep and blink briefly. If any problems are detected, the detector will switch to error mode, and you should replace the device immediately.
