To properly install the Akrapovič ZF-R6 17-18 Slip On Line Titanium Muffler, please follow the steps outlined in the instruction manual provided. Here is a summary of the installation process:
1. Before starting the installation, ensure that you have the correct Akrapovič product for your motorcycle model.
2. Make sure the motorcycle is securely positioned to prevent tipping over and damage.
3. Check the parts you received against the parts list provided in the manual. If any parts are missing, contact the retailer where you purchased the product.
4. Remove the stock exhaust system by loosening the clamp and bolts, and carefully removing the stock muffler. Refer to the motorcycle manufacturer's workshop manual for specific instructions.
5. Install the clamp from the Akrapovič installation kit onto the muffler and the link pipe.
6. Insert the catalytic converter into the link pipe and attach the assembled link pipe to the muffler's inlet using the provided springs.
7. xxxx the Akrapovič heat shield's bolts and heat-resistant washers onto the heat shield.
8. Hand tighten the heat shield onto the muffler and link pipe clamps.
9. Position the muffler correctly and hand tighten it onto the motorcycle using bolts and washers.
10. Align the muffler and tighten the clamps' bolts and muffler brackets' bolts to the specified torques.
11. Tighten the header flange nuts to the specified torque.
12. Clean grease spots off all Akrapovič product surfaces.
13. Make sure all nuts and bolts are sufficiently tightened and reinstall any dismounted or partially removed stock parts.
