To install the DR Infrared HEATER DR-910M Heavy-Duty Hardwired Shop Garage Heater, please follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the main supply connection and ensure that the supply cables are 6 AWG (13.3 mm2) copper wires.
2. Connect the heater to an individual branch circuit protected by a 60 Amp circuit breaker.
3. Install a dual pole circuit breaker rated at least 240V 60A/pole as the main cutoff switch for the power connection to the heater.
4. Use a flexible conduit to run the electrical power supply cable and connect it to the wiring compartment via the knock-out at the rear of the heater.
5. Make proper connections with connectors suitable for the conductor size, including ground wires.
6. Arrange the pigtail leads of the unit and power supply wires in the wiring compartment.
7. Ensure that the heater is installed at least 1 foot away from any adjacent vertical surfaces or walls.
8. If using the wall mount bracket, keep at least 4.5 inches (0.12m) of clearance from the back wall.
