To connect the PYLE PLXR2B 2-Way Electronic Crossover Network to your car audio system, follow these steps:
1. Connect the power input cable (12V) to the positive terminal of your vehicle battery or other constant +12V source.
2. Connect the ground input cable (GND) to the vehicle's chassis ground.
3. Connect the remote turn-on input cable to the remote control wire or antenna lead of the source unit for remote ON/OFF. If it is not available, connect the orange lead to a switched +12 volt source (e.g. the ignition switch).
4. Connect the left/right high impedance input to the output of the source unit.
5. If RCA output is not available, connect the left/right low impedance input to the speaker outputs of the signal source.
6. Use the high-pass frequency selector to select the desired high-pass crossover frequency between All Pass, 80Hz, 100Hz, and 125Hz.
7. Use the high-pass filter slope selector to choose between 6dB and 18dB/oct (3rd order Butterworth) slope.
8. Adjust the high-pass output level using the high-pass output level control.
9. Connect the left/right high-pass output terminals to the mid/tweeter amplifier left/right inputs.
10. Use the low-pass frequency selector to select the desired low-pass crossover frequency between 50Hz, 63Hz, 80Hz, and 100Hz.
11. Adjust the low-pass output level using the low-pass output level control.
12. Connect the left/right low-pass output terminals to the woofer/subwoofer amplifier left/right inputs.
Make sure to follow the wiring layout recommendations provided in the user manual to avoid any issues with engine noise or electrical system compatibility.
