To install the Leonton PG2-0800 Series 8 Port Industrial Gigabit PoE plus Ethernet Switch, follow these steps:
1. Unpack the switch from the original packing box.
2. Check if the DIN-Rail bracket is already screwed on the switch. If not, refer to the DIN-Rail Mounting section in the user manual for instructions on how to install it.
3. If you want to wall mount the switch, refer to the Wall Mounting section in the user manual for instructions on how to install the wall mounting bracket.
4. Power on the switch by connecting the power inputs. Refer to the Wiring the Power Inputs section in the user manual for detailed instructions on how to connect the power wires.
5. Check the LED indicators on the front panel of the switch to ensure that the power status and network status are displayed correctly. Refer to Table 2.1 in the user manual for the meaning of each LED indicator.
6. Prepare a twisted-pair, straight-through category 5 cable for Ethernet connection.
7. Insert one end of the RJ-45 cable into the switch's Ethernet port and the other end into the networking device's Ethernet port (e.g., switch, PC, or server). The Ethernet port's LED on the switch will turn on when the cable is connected.
8. If you have SFP ports, you can also connect SFP cables to the switch's SFP ports and the networking device's SFP ports. The SFP port's LED on the switch will turn on when the cable is connected.
9. Once all connections are set and the LED lights show normal, the installation is complete.
