To install and maintain the handlebar on the BERG B0899LQ8VY Kettcar, please follow the instructions provided in the user manual:
1. Write down the serial number of the handlebar, which can be found on the inside of the handlebar.
2. Place masking tape around the area to be cut.
3. Gently cut the handlebar to the desired length using a fine blade suitable for cutting metal.
4. Remove any sharp edges with a small file, using a flat area for the outer diameter and a round area for the inner diameter.
5. Carefully remove the masking tape.
6. Inspect the handlebar for any fractures or damage. If any damage appears, please report it to info@rideberg.com.
7. Apply carbon paste around the mid-section of the handlebar.
8. Mount the handlebar in the middle of the stem and tighten the screws hand-tight.
9. Position the handlebar in the correct upper position.
10. Tighten the cross-section of the bolts, making sure not to exceed the recommended torque parameter of 5Nm. It is advised that 3.5Nm should be sufficient to secure the handlebar. Smaller bolts may require less torque, around 1.5 to 2Nm.
11. Once again, check for any damage or issues and report them if necessary.
12. Remove any excessive carbon paste.
13. Place the grips, brakes, and shifters in position. If there is too much friction, you can use a non-aggressive lubricant (water-based).
14. Tighten the grips to a maximum of 2.5Nm. 1.5Nm should be sufficient to secure the grips.
Please refer to the user manual for additional details and illustrations regarding the handlebar installation and maintenance. It is important to follow these instructions carefully to ensure proper installation and safe usage of the product.
