To adjust the setpoint of the ARSCROFT P-Series Snap Action Switches for Differential Pressure Control, follow these steps:
1. For the Series PD-S Single Switch:
- Remove the front cover by unscrewing the two screws.
- Use a suitable reference such as an Ashcroft Duragauge or test gauge to set the desired setpoint within ±1% of the nominal range.
- Apply low pressure and then apply high pressure to the required setpoint.
- Turn the adjusting wheel until the switch changes mode.
- Verify the setpoint by raising and lowering the high pressure to ensure the correct differential pressure between high and low pressures.
2. For the Series PD-D Dual Switch:
- Remove the front cover by unscrewing the two screws.
- There are two range-adjusting wheels, labeled A and B.
- The left switch is controlled by the adjusting wheel labeled A, and the right switch is controlled by the adjusting wheel labeled B.
- Set the desired setpoints independently for each switch using a suitable reference such as an Ashcroft Duragauge or test gauge.
- Apply low pressure and then apply high pressure to the required setpoints.
- Turn the adjusting wheels until each switch changes mode.
- Verify the setpoints by raising and lowering the pressure to ensure the correct setpoints are achieved.
3. For the Series PD-A Adjustable Deadband Switch:
- Remove the front cover by unscrewing the two screws.
- There are two adjusting wheels, one labeled and controls the re-setpoint of the switch, and the other labeled B controls the setpoint of the switch.
- Set the desired setpoints independently for each switch using a suitable reference such as an Ashcroft Duragauge or test gauge.
- Apply low pressure and then apply high pressure to the required setpoints.
- Move the adjusting wheel for switch B until the switch changes mode.
- Lower the high pressure to the reset point and move the adjusting wheel for switch A until the switch changes mode.
- Verify the setpoints by raising and lowering the high pressure to ensure the correct differential pressure between high and low pressure.
Note: It is important to follow the instructions provided in the manual and use suitable references for accurate setpoint adjustment. The factory calibration ensures proper operation, so make sure to set the setpoints accordingly.
