To properly assemble and set up the Razor PowerWing DLX Scooter, follow these steps:
1. Attaching the Platforms:
- Using two 5 mm Allen wrenches, remove the two coupling bolts from the frame.
- Align the holes on the right and left platforms with the holes on the frame.
- Re-insert the coupling bolts and tighten using the Allen wrenches.
2. Attaching the Handlebars:
- Remove the plastic protector covering the wedge and discard it.
- Loosen the black folding xxxx and swing it to the 6 o'clock position to unfold the handlebar stem.
- Insert the handlebar stem into the front fork. You may need to slightly loosen the wedge using a 5 mm Allen wrench to allow it to slip into the front fork.
- Slide the handlebar stem down into the front fork until it fits snugly into the lock nut on the headset.
- Using a 5 mm Allen wrench, tighten the stem bolt. The handlebars should not be able to twist out of alignment with the front wheel.
- Bring the handlebar stem back to the upright position.
- Swing the black folding xxxx to the 12 o'clock position and tighten it by hand until the handlebars are secure.
3. Adjusting the Brake:
- To adjust the brake cable wire, thread the brake lever adjuster in or out 1/4 to 1/2 turn until the desired cable tension is attained.
- Squeeze the brake lever to test the brake and make sure it is working properly. The front fender should clamp down and rub against the front wheel. If the brake is not working properly, proceed to the next step.
- If the brake is too tight or too loose, use an 8 mm wrench and a 3 mm Allen wrench to make adjustments as needed.
