To install the WXHU Lindab Smoke Control Dampers, follow these steps:
1. Preparations:
- Cut the ducts at right angles.
- Remove any burrs from the cut edges to reduce the risk of damaging the gasket.
- Cut away any needles created from the fold.
2. Assembly:
- Start by inserting the turned-over edge of the damper into the duct.
- Ensure that the first lip of the gasket is in contact with the edge of the duct all the way around and sticks straight out without any twists.
- Push the end of the damper into the duct, twisting it slightly to aid insertion.
- Secure the damper in the duct using self-tapping screws with a diameter of Ø4.2mm and a length of 13mm.
- Position the fasteners close to the damper (minimum 10-15mm) to support its weight and prevent damage to the gasket.
- Note that the damper must be installed on a certified and CE marked smoke control system. Refer to the mounting instruction of the whole smoke control system for further guidance.
