According to the ClimaRad Sensa Horizontal instruction manual, the maintenance frequency for filters depends on the usage and environment. With normal use in homes and offices, the filters should be replaced every 2 years or earlier if the message 'Filter vervuild' (filter dirty) appears on the display. In the case of intensive use, such as in care homes and schools, the filters should be replaced after 1 year or earlier if the 'Filter vervuild' message appears.
To clean or replace the filters, follow these steps:
1. Switch off the device by removing the plug from the socket.
2. Turn the two locking hooks (at the bottom or on the side of the housing) to unlock the cover of the Sensa. Lift the cover upwards to remove it.
3. Replace the air supply filters:
a. Slide the cover to the right to reveal the clips.
b. Open the three clips on the top and tilt the filter housing forwards.
c. Slide the two contaminated filters out of the filter housing.
d. Slide two new filters fully into the filter housing, ensuring they do not protrude.
e. Close the filter housing and secure it with the three clips. Make sure the filters do not protrude.
f. Slide the cover to the left to close it.
4. Cleaning the air outlet filters:
a. If the air outlet filters are only slightly dirty, you can clean them with a vacuum cleaner without removing them.
b. If the air outlet filters are dirty, unlock the filter housing by gently pulling the two clips towards you. Turn the filter grille as far forward as possible.
c. Push the filters from the front out of the filter housing.
d. Place three new filters in the sections.
e. Press the grille at the bottom with the two clips firmly closed until it snaps. Ensure the filter housing is properly closed.
5. Cleaning the air ducts:
a. Remove the two inspection hatches by turning them to the left and removing them.
b. Remove the round cups from the air duct and clean the insect mesh.
c. Use a vacuum cleaner or a soft cloth (do not use water) to remove any dirt from both channels.
d. Insert the round cups. Install both inspection hatches and tighten them well.
6. Put the cover back on and turn the locking hooks (at the bottom or on the side of the housing).
7. Push the plug back into the socket.
8. If you have replaced the filters, reset the filter hour counter by simultaneously pressing the + and - buttons on the display for 6 seconds. The 'Filter vervuild' message will disappear.
Important: Only reset the filter hour counter if you have replaced the filters.
