To install the GIANNI ML-450 Electric Lock on a swing door, follow these steps:
1. Mortise Mount Installation:
a. Use the provided template to align the center line (CL) of the lock body template with the CL of the door leaf.
b. Cut out mortise holes for the lock body and strike plate and drill holes according to the templates.
c. Tighten the fixing lugs with screws.
d. Connect the power cable to the lock and test it before screwing it to the door leaf.
e. Affix the strike plate.
2. Surface Mount Installation:
a. Follow the provided dimensions for the surface mount model.
b. Install blind nuts by drilling a 9.4mm hole and hammering the blind nut assembly into the hole.
c. Use a wrench or vice-grip to tightly hold the nut. Then use the included Allen wrench to slowly tighten the xxxx until it does not turn any further. Repeat for other blind nuts.
3. Glass Mount Installation:
a. Confirm the installation location and clean the surface of the glasses.
b. Attach the spacer to the glass using silicone sealant or other adhesives. Add more spacers if needed per glass thickness.
c. Tighten the set screws with an Allen wrench to secure the electric lock to the glass bracket.
d. Install the cover.
