To calibrate the Transcell TI-500E Digital Weight Indicator, follow these steps:
1. Enter the Setup Menu by switching off the indicator, locating the slide switch on the rear cover, and moving it to the opposite position. Switch on the indicator, and it will display "F 1" to indicate that you are in Setup Menu mode.
2. Scroll to "F 16" using the TARE or PRINT keys and press the ZERO key once to enter the zero calibration mode. Assure a no-load condition on the scale platform and press the ZERO key again to zero the display reading. Press the NET/GROSS key to save the zero-point value.
3. Scroll to "F 17" and press the ZERO key once to enter the span calibration mode. Place the actual calibration load (weights) onto the scale platform. Use the directional keys to enter the actual calibration weight value. Press the NET/GROSS key to save this value.
4. If the calibration was not successful, error messages may appear. Refer to the manual for troubleshooting steps to correct the problem.
5. Exit calibration mode by moving the slide switch back to its original position. The display will go through a digit check and settle into Normal Operating mode.
