To adjust the backset of the Sylvan Dalton Passage Lever, follow these steps:
1. Confirm that the backset of the leverset is the same as the door backset. If not, you need to adjust the latch backset.
2. The adjustable latch is preset at the factory for a 70mm backset. If you require a 60mm backset, push the spindle plate or slide the spindle cam or sliding plate all the way to the left.
3. Align the spindle cam square hole to the correct orientation so that the spindle plate can slide easily.
4. Ensure that the stem holes are properly aligned and clear.
5. The latch is now set to a 60mm backset.
6. To reset it to a 70mm backset, pull the spindle cam to the right all the way.
7. Ensure that the stem holes are clear.
8. The latch is now set to a 70mm backset.
