To connect the SmartGen BAC150CAN Battery Charger to your generator's lead-acid battery, follow these steps:
1. Locate the AC input terminals labeled "L" and "N" on the charger. Connect these terminals to the AC power source (100~240V) using a multi-strand copper wire with a minimum size of BVR 1.5mm2.
2. Connect the "PE" terminal of the charger to the ground.
3. Connect the "B-" terminal of the charger to the negative terminal of the battery using a multi-strand copper wire with a minimum size of BVR 2.5mm2.
4. Connect the "B+" terminal of the charger to the positive terminal of the battery using a multi-strand copper wire with a minimum size of BVR 2.5mm2.
5. If you have an auxiliary input or output port on your generator, you can connect it to the corresponding terminals on the charger. Please refer to the manual for specific details on the configuration and usage of the auxiliary port.
6. If you have a battery temperature sensor, you can connect it to the "BT" terminal on the charger. This will allow the charger to monitor the battery temperature and perform temperature compensation during the charging process.
7. Finally, ensure that all connections are secure and properly insulated to prevent any electrical hazards.
