Cleaning and disinfecting your KaWe stethoscope is important to prevent cross-contamination. After examining each patient, you should clean and disinfect the stethoscope with a 70% alcohol solution or a mild soap solution. You can use a soaked tissue or cloth to clean the stethoscope. Make sure to pay attention to the diaphragm, hoses, and headset, including the ear tips.
For thorough cleaning, you can remove the ear tips and membrane. Remove the retaining ring on the diaphragm and handle it with care to prevent damage. Clean the individual components with a 70% alcohol solution or mild soap solution. After cleaning, make sure all components are completely dry before reassembling the stethoscope.
Please note that automatic cleaning and sterilization processes are not allowed for KaWe stethoscopes.
