To install the Greenlight ABY1002W Wall Light, follow these steps:
1. Determine the position of the wall bracket, ensuring it covers the wiring and associated hole in the wall.
2. Mark the position of the top hole with a pencil, taking care to avoid damaging any cables. Drill a hole and loosely secure the top of the fitting with a suitable wall anchor.
3. Mark the position of the lower hole with a pencil. Remove the top xxxx and drill the lower hole. Push in a suitable wall anchor.
4. Connect the existing house wiring to the terminal block as shown in Figure 2. Ensure all connections are fully tightened, clamping the metal conductors and not the plastic insulation.
5. Close the enclosure, ensuring all insulation is inside the enclosure box and there are no trapped wires. Firmly close the enclosure box.
6. Place the insulation box and wiring inside the wall, being careful not to damage any cables.
7. Attach the fitting to the wall using the supplied screws.
8. If using a shade, the wall lamp is supplied with two sets of sleeves. The short sleeve enables the use of a shade ring for soft shades (sold separately), while the long sleeve is for use with bare bulbs. Swap the sleeves by removing the shade ring.
9. If using a soft shade, fit the shorter candle drips. Position the shade on the bulb holder and secure it with the plastic shade ring.
10. Fit the bulbs, ensuring not to use a higher wattage or different shaped bulb than specified on the bulb holder to avoid over-heating and damage to the lamp.
11. Finally, switch on the fitting to ensure it lights up.
