To install the ATEL AOL-J912 4G LTE Outdoor CPE, follow these steps:
1. Install the SIM Card & Connect the Ethernet Cable:
- Unscrew the covers from the SIM card slot and Ethernet LAN port on the bottom panel of the device.
- Insert a standard SIM card (2FF) into the SIM slot as directed.
- Connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the bottom panel, threading it through the hole on the Ethernet cover.
- Tighten both covers on the bottom panel.
2. Power ON your J-Series ODU:
- Connect the Ethernet cable coming from the ODU to the PoE injector's P+D/OUT Port.
- Connect the power cord to the PoE injector's AC/IN Port.
- The Power LED on the ODU should now be on, indicating that the ODU is powered ON.
3. Using PoE to Connect J-Series ODU with PC:
- Turn on the ODU using the PoE injector.
- Connect your computer/PC to the PoE's Data/IN Port using an Ethernet cable. Make sure your computer's Ethernet is configured to obtain an IP address automatically.
4. Installation of your J-Series ODU:
- Place the ODU outside and facing an open area towards an eNodeB/Cell Tower. Avoid obstructions such as concrete walls or glass partitions.
- Keep the ODU away from household electrical appliances that produce strong electric or magnetic fields.
- Mounting on a Pole: Attach the mounting bracket to the rear panel of the ODU using four M6 mounting nuts. Attach the U-shaped side of the bracket to the pole using the provided U-bolt clamps.
- Mounting on a Wall: Fix the mounting brackets to the ODU using screws. Place the U-shaped mounting bracket against the wall, mark the hole locations, drill holes, insert wall anchors, and attach the ODU with the mounting bracket to the wall.
5. Installation Completion:
- Once the installation is complete and the ODU is connected to your computer/PC using the PoE injector, you can access data services on your computer/PC. Make sure all LEDs on the ODU are lit up.
