To install the Thule Adapter Set Laika Series X for the Thule Omnistor 5002 awning on your Laika Series X camper, please follow these steps:
1. Stick the rubber strips provided onto the rear of the adapter plate.
2. Assemble the adapters according to the diagram shown in figure 2 of the manual.
3. Position the adapter plates on the roof border of your camper and mark their positions.
4. Apply SiKA 252 glue on the roof border where it comes in contact with the adapters. Before applying the glue, make sure to remove any grease from the roof border using SiKA activator.
5. Set the adapter plates in place so that the adapters are in line with each other.
6. Fix the adapter plates by drilling 5mm holes and inserting SIKA 221 or no-acid silicone paste into the holes. Secure the plates using the provided screws.
7. Hook the awning onto the adapters.
8. Fix the awning in place using the 4.2x16 screws from the Thule Omnistor 5002 installation kit. If necessary, drill 3mm holes first.
9. After installation, allow the glue to dry before fully extending the awning. It is recommended to leave the awning open by 5cm to avoid torsion while the glue is drying.
10. To prevent damage to the vehicle wall, never roll out the awning completely without extending the support arms.
11. Regularly check the fixation of the adapter to the vehicle to ensure it remains secure.
