To properly install and set up the MEDI GUARD MGPL401 Vaccine Refrigerator, please follow these steps:
1. Remove all packaging and wrap from the unit.
2. Check for any damage to the unit. If you notice any damage, report it immediately to 1300 459 140.
3. Inside the unit, fit the rear spacers provided by screwing them into the empty xxxx holes at the rear base of the unit above the wire grate. This prevents the unit from being pushed hard against a rear wall and allows adequate ventilation for the condensing unit. Failure to fit the rear spacer will void the warranty.
4. Keep the unit on a firm, flat, and even surface. Do not place the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources. Ensure the room has adequate ventilation.
5. Once the unit is positioned in its location, the front castors have a brake. Lock the brake on both sides to prevent the unit from moving when pulling on the handle to open the door.
6. Position the shelf clips at even heights and regular intervals suitable for the intended contents of the unit. Place the shelves once finished. The maximum loading per shelf is 15kg. Do not store products directly on the base of the unit.
7. Do not place items on the shelves in a way that covers the entire surface area. This will restrict airflow and reduce the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit. It is recommended to use ¾ of the maximum width, height, and depth to allow proper functioning.
8. Once the unit is in position and leveled, plug it into a normal General Power Outlet (GPO).
9. The unit has a High/Low Temp Alarm set for 2°C and 8°C respectively, with a delay. On initial start-up, the unit may go into High Temp Alarm Mode depending on the ambient temperature. To silence the alarm, simply press any key.
10. Once the unit has reached approximately 5°C, you may begin to store items inside. Ideally, they should already be at the desired temperature. Once the unit is in range, perform a reset of the high and low temperature readings. The unit has a QR code next to the front control panel that will direct you to a YouTube video instruction guide.
11. Note that loading the unit with room temperature products will cause the ambient temperature in the fridge to exceed 8°C and trigger an alarm. It will also strain the compressor and shorten the life of the unit.
12. Initialize and start your data logger as per the instructions included with the unit.
13. To check and reset the maximum/minimum temperatures, press and release the Hi/Lo button. The max temperature will be displayed. Press Hi/Lo again to display the min temperature. To reset, press and hold the Hi/Lo button for 6 seconds until it begins to beep. The max/min temperatures have now been reset.
14. If you have any questions, please call the help line at 1300 459 140.
