Installation of the Danfoss SV 4, 5, 6 Float Valve is a straightforward process. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Positioning: Make sure to connect the valve according to the marked positions (Pos. 1 and 2) for the connections.
2. Setting: Start by turning the spindle (Pos. 3) in a counter-clockwise direction until the valve is closed. You will hear an audible sound indicating the closure.
3. Next, turn the spindle (Pos. 3) in a clockwise direction until the valve opens. This will be both audible and perceptible. Once the valve is open, turn the spindle once more in a clockwise direction for half a rotation. This setting ensures that the float is properly adjusted. You can mark this setting on the spindle for future reference.
4. Cleaning the strainer: To clean the strainer, first, turn the spindle (Pos. 3) in a counter-clockwise direction until the valve is closed. Then, close the liquid inlet. The cover (Pos. 4) can be dismounted, allowing you to clean the strainer (Pos. 5).
5. Changing the orifice and teflon valve plate: If you need to change the orifice (Pos. 7) or the teflon valve plate (Pos. 8), follow the steps mentioned above (1-3) to close the valve. Then, the spring (Pos. 6) and orifice can be removed. For the change of the teflon valve plate, it is recommended to contact Danfoss for assistance.
6. Manual opening and closing: In case you need to manually open the valve, turn the spindle (Pos. 3) clockwise as far as possible to force it open. For manual closing, turn the spindle counter-clockwise until the valve is closed, and you will hear an audible sound.
