To attach the HoverMatt T-Burg to an O.R. table, please follow these steps:
1. Start with the O.R. table flat and without tilt.
2. Ensure that the O.R. table pad is properly attached to the table.
3. Place the HoverMatt T-Burg on the O.R. table.
4. Center the HoldFast (grey) foam and the perineum cutout of the mat on the O.R. table. The perineum cutout should be slightly above the cutout of the O.R. table.
5. Tuck the sides of the mat under the O.R. table pad, making sure that the bottom HoldFast Strip is flat against the table.
6. Loop the rail fasteners (3 per side) behind the rail and attach them to the fastening strip. For Trendelenburg position, loop the rail fasteners before the rail post at the foot-end. For reverse Trendelenburg position, loop the rail fasteners after the rail post at the head-end. The rail fasteners can be double-looped around the O.R. table rail to accommodate different table configurations.
7. Loop the foot-end straps around the footboard post, stirrups, or any other point on the O.R. table.
8. Ensure that the mat lies flat without any wrinkles before placing the patient on the HoverMatt T-Burg.
9. Position the patient's xxxx region as close as possible to the perineum cutout at the bottom of the mat.
10. Make sure that as much of the patient's skin as possible is in direct contact with the HoldFast foam.
11. Loop one of the patient safety (body) straps behind the O.R. table rail and back onto the strap per the label. Repeat on the other side.
12. Bring the straps across the patient's chest and securely attach them to each other to secure the patient to the table and mat.
13. If applicable, place arm protectors around each arm and ensure that the arms are securely positioned against the patient's body according to hospital procedures/protocols.
14. Position the table and patient for the procedure.
15. After the procedure, return the patient to a supine (flat) position.
Please note that it is important to ensure that the HoverMatt T-Burg is firmly attached to the O.R. table before positioning the patient for surgery. Also, make sure to follow your facility's protocols for patients placed in the Trendelenburg position.
