To select the measurement range on the PeakTech 8005 Sound Level Meter, you can choose between automatic and manual ranging.
- Automatic Ranging: When you turn on the meter, it will be in manual range mode by default. However, you can switch to automatic range mode by pressing the LEVEL button until "AUTO" appears on the LCD display. In automatic range mode, the meter will adjust the measurement range automatically for accuracy.
- Manual Ranging: In manual range mode, you can manually select the desired measurement range. When you turn on the meter, use the LEVEL button to cycle through the available ranges: LO (30-80 dB), MED (50-100 dB), and HI (80-130 dB). Select the range that is appropriate for your measurement.
Note: The two-digit number to the left of the bar graph on the LCD will show the low end of the current range. This can help you determine the suitable range for your measurement.
Please refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions and information on using the PeakTech 8005 Sound Level Meter.
