To connect and set up the VigilLink VL-SP12-1 HDMI 2.0 Splitter, please follow these steps:
1. Connect the HDMI input source (e.g., DVD player, set-top box) to the "HDMI IN" port on the splitter using an HDMI cable.
2. Connect the HDMI output ports on the splitter ("HDMI OUT 1" and "HDMI OUT 2") to your HDMI displays or devices using HDMI cables.
3. Plug the provided 5V/1A power adapter into the "DC 5V" port on the splitter, and then connect it to a power outlet.
4. Turn on your HDMI input source and the connected HDMI displays or devices.
5. The "Power LED" on the splitter will illuminate to indicate that it is connected to the power supply.
6. The "IN LED" will illuminate when the source device is successfully connected to the splitter.
7. The "OUT LED" will light up to indicate which HDMI output port is connected to an active TV/display/monitor.
8. The splitter has two operating modes:
- STD Mode: In this mode, the splitter uses its own built-in EDID settings, and the video output will be sent to 1080p@60Hz and the audio output at LPCM 2CH Stereo.
- TV Mode (COPY OUT1): In this mode, the input EDID is set to COPY OUT1. If the HDMI OUT1 port is connected to a 1080P TV, all output is bypassed. If the HDMI OUT1 port is connected to a 4K TV, the 4K output is bypassed, and the 1080P output will be downscaled.
9. You can select the desired operating mode by pressing the corresponding button on the splitter.
10. Once everything is connected and set up, you should be able to enjoy your HDMI content on multiple displays simultaneously.
