To change the thermostat mode from automatic to manual, follow these steps:
1. Press the "Mode" button on the thermostat.
2. Use the "-" key (down arrow) to scroll down through the options until you reach the "Manual Control" mode.
3. Press the "Mode" button again to confirm the selection.
4. The thermostat will now be in manual mode, overriding the automatic program.
5. To cancel the manual mode and return to the automatic program, select the "Automatic" mode using the same steps.
