To ignite the burners on the Haier HCG604WFCX2 gas cooktop, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the gas supply is turned on and that the gas valves are fully open.
2. Make sure that the burner caps and grates are properly placed on the cooktop.
3. Press and turn the control xxxx for the desired burner counterclockwise to the "Ignite" position. You will hear a clicking sound.
4. Continue to hold the control xxxx in the "Ignite" position for a few seconds until the flame ignites.
5. Once the flame is lit, adjust the flame level by turning the control xxxx to the desired heat setting.
6. If the flame accidentally goes out while cooking, the flame failure device will automatically turn off the gas supply to prevent any gas leakage. In such cases, turn the control xxxx to the "Off" position and wait for a few minutes before attempting to relight the burner.
