To update the ALTOS Web Console, please follow the steps below:
1. Connect an Ethernet cable from your server's BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) to an available Ethernet port on your network.
- For a 1U server, the BMC connects to an Ethernet port.
- For a 2U server, the BMC connects to an Ethernet port.
2. Power on the system and press the [Del] key to enter the BIOS Setup Utility.
3. In the BIOS Setup Utility, go to the [Server Mgmt] tab and select the [BMC network Configuration] item.
4. Press the [Enter] key to access the "configuration address source" and change it to the [Static] option. Alternatively, you can use a DHCP server to assign an IP4 address automatically, and the assigned IP4 address will be displayed here.
5. Enter the IP address of the BMC in the web browser's address field. You may encounter a security certificate warning, but you can proceed by clicking on [Continue to this website (not recommended)]. This will take you to the IPMI login webpage, which allows you to access the BMC web UI.
6. On the BMC login web UI, use the default username and password: user: admin, password: password. After entering the credentials, click on the "Sign me in" button.
7. Once logged in, navigate to the Firmware Update page by clicking on Maintenance > Firmware Update from the menu bar.
8. On the Firmware Update page, you will find options for both BIOS and BMC updates. Choose the appropriate section based on your desired update.
9. For a BIOS update, follow the provided steps:
- Step 1: Upload the image.RBU file by clicking the "start firmware update" button.
- Step 2: Click the "OK" button on the next page.
- Step 3: Wait for the upload to reach 100% and then click the "Flash BIOS" button.
- Step 4: Wait for the flashing process to reach 100% and then click the "OK" button for a successful update. It is recommended to perform an AC cycle (power cycle) after the update.
10. For a BMC update, follow the provided steps in the same manner as the BIOS update.
Remember, it is always recommended to refer to the official ALTOS Web Console manual or contact ALTOS support for specific instructions and any further assistance.
