To ensure reliable operation of the CD player, it is important to keep the transport platter and puck free of dust or debris. Here is how you can clean them:
1. For the transport platter, take a piece of Blu-Tack and lightly apply it to the top surface of the magnetic metal hub, picking up any material attached to it. Brush the plastic outer edge lightly with your finger or a soft brush to ensure it is dust and particle-free.
2. Similarly, clean the puck with Blu-Tack to remove debris from its underside. Gently press the Blu-Tack onto the puck and lift it to pick up any particles.
3. Do not use any solvents or fluids for the cleaning process, as they may damage the player.
By regularly cleaning the transport platter and puck, you can ensure that the CD sits properly and prevent it from slipping during playback.
