To connect the NEXTUBE Nixie Clock Inspired Modern Display to your computer, follow these steps:
1. Download the Rotrics Nextube Studio Software from the official website: https://rotrics.com/pages/downloads
2. Connect the Nextube to your computer using a USB A to C cable. Note that you should NOT use a USB C-to-C cable for this connection.
3. Open the Rotrics Nextube Studio software on your computer.
4. Click on the "Connect" button in the software to establish a connection with your Nextube.
5. The Nextube supports two types of connections: Serial Port Connection and Wi-Fi Connection.
- For Serial Port Connection:
- In macOS, the serial port will be listed as "tty.wchusbserialx". In Windows, it will be listed as "COMx".
- If you can't find the appropriate serial port in the "Serial Port" list, you need to download and install the serial port chip driver.
- For macOS, download the driver from: http://www.wch-ic.com/downloads/CH34X...
- For Windows, download the driver from: http://www.wch-ic.com/downloads/CH341...
- For Wi-Fi Connection:
- If you have already configured a Wi-Fi network, you can connect the Nextube using Wi-Fi.
- After connecting to your Wi-Fi network, each Nextube will have an IP address.
- Choose the correct IP address of your Nextube and click "Connect" in the software.
6. If you encounter any issues connecting via the "Serial Port", you can reset the Nextube AP and configure the Wi-Fi network by connecting to the Nextube AP. Follow the steps provided in the user guide for this process.
Once connected, you can proceed with the settings and customization options available in the software.
