To purge the hydraulic system of the Sealey SJT2/SJT4 telescopic bottle jack, follow these steps:
1. Turn the release valve anticlockwise one full turn to open.
2. Pump the handle eight full strokes.
3. Turn the release valve clockwise to close the valve.
4. Pump the handle until the ram reaches its maximum height and continue to pump several times to remove trapped air in the ram. Carefully and slowly move the top of the oil filler plug aside to release trapped air.
5. Turn the release valve anticlockwise one full turn and lower the ram to its lowest position. Use force if necessary.
6. Turn the release valve clockwise to the closed position and check for proper pump action. It may be necessary to perform the above steps more than once to ensure all air is evacuated from the system.
Please note that these instructions are a summary and should be followed in conjunction with the full instructions provided in the manual for the Sealey SJT2/SJT4 telescopic bottle jack.
