To connect the kvm-tec 4K Ultraline DP 1.2 UVX extender to your computer and monitor, follow these steps:
1. Connect the CON/Remote Unit and the CPU/Local Unit using the supplied IEC power cable. Optionally, you can also use a 12V > 2A power supply.
2. Connect the USB cable to a USB port on your PC and the other end to the CPU/Local Unit. Connect your keyboard and mouse to the CON/Remote Unit.
3. Use a network cable to connect the CPU/Local Unit and the CON/Remote Unit.
4. Connect the DP cable from the PC's DP output to the DP input of the local device. Then, connect the remote monitor to the CON/Remote Unit using another DP cable. Optionally, you can connect another monitor to the Local DP output using a DP cable.
5. Connect the PC's audio output to the Local audio input using an audio cable. Connect the audio output to the PC's audio input and the Remote audio input to the microphone using audio cables.
6. Ensure that the display port cable length does not exceed 1.8m (5.9 ft) to guarantee interference-free 4K transmission.
Once the connections are made, your kvm-tec 4K Ultraline DP 1.2 UVX extender should be ready to use. If you encounter any issues or have further questions, you can contact kvm-tec support via email at support@kvm-tec.com or by phone at +43 2253 81912 - 30.
