To program a new garage door opener using the HomeLink Garage Door Opener, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your vehicle is aligned towards the receiver and within range of the receiver (signal is transmitted in the direction of travel).
2. Select the "HomeLink®" button on the central display.
3. Choose the "Teach new profile" option.
4. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
Note: If your garage door opener uses a rolling code, synchronization of the HomeLink® system is also required. This synchronization starts automatically after the teach-in process. It may be helpful to have a second person assist with the programming.
If you encounter any difficulties in assigning signals to the buttons, make sure to check the following:
- Ensure that you have followed the instructions in the manual and the operating instructions for the original remote control carefully.
- Verify that the battery in the remote control for the garage door opener is new. Insufficient battery voltage can lead to signal transmission faults, causing the vehicle's system to learn an incorrect code that cannot be reliably recognized.
- Contact your Porsche partner for assistance.
It is also recommended to consult your vehicle's manual or contact the HomeLink® hotline for further support and information on the compatibility of your vehicle's HomeLink® system with the original hand transmitter.
