To install the PYLE PLML51DB Stereo Receiver Power Amplifier in your vehicle, please follow these step-by-step instructions:
1. Prepare the installation kit: Before starting the installation, make sure you have the necessary installation kit to mount the radio on the dashboard. You can find this kit at electronics stores or car audio specialists. Check the kit to ensure it is the right one for your vehicle.
2. Remove the plastic outer trim ring: Lift the left or right top corner of the plastic outer trim ring and pull it out to remove it.
3. Separate the chassis from the housing: Insert the two bracket keys into the left and right side of the chassis to separate it from the housing.
4. Install the mounting xxxx : Check the opening size of the sliding panel to be mounted. If the measurement is not large enough, carefully cut it until it fits easily on the opening. Do not force the handle in the opening to avoid bending it. Locate the series of dubbing tabs above, below, and on all sides to be mounted. Completely insert it into the opening of the board and bend the tabs as necessary towards the outside to ensure a secure fit.
5. Slide the stereo into the opening in the dash: Ensure that the wires behind the stereo are tucked and not pinched. Sometimes, this may take a few tries, especially if the vehicle has a tight dash opening. Tuck the wires back into an opening behind the unit.
6. Follow the wiring diagram: Carefully follow the wiring diagram provided in the user guide. Make sure you have connected the wires correctly. It is important to connect the unit to a 12 Volt power source with adequate ground. Double-check all connections to ensure they are secure.
7. Attach the front panel and turn on the unit: Once all the wiring is completed, attach the front panel and turn on the unit. The vehicle must be switched on for the unit to work. If the unit does not work, check the calibration again until the problem is resolved. With the new car stereo secured into the bracket, plug the wiring harness back into the stereo and put the assembly back into place.
8. Install the plastic outer trim ring: Snap all the pieces of trim back into place over the stereo. Double-check that all screws and trim pieces are securely in place.
9. Test the new stereo: Turn the car power on again and play around with the stereo and its settings to ensure everything is in working order.
