To adjust the zero on the Gentec-EO TUNER Power Meter with Needle, follow these steps:
1. Remove the protective cover from the power detector.
2. Place the detector in the path of the laser beam, ensuring that the entire beam is within the sensor aperture. Be careful not to exceed the maximum specified power densities.
3. Block off the laser radiation to the detector.
4. Wait for the reading to stabilize.
5. Press and hold the "Speed / Zero" control key on the front panel of the TUNER for at least 2 seconds. The TUNER will display "----" for a moment and then return to the normal measurement display.
6. The zero has now been adjusted, and you can proceed to make accurate measurements.
Note: It is recommended to allow the power detector's temperature to stabilize before zeroing the TUNER. Avoid touching the detector itself when handling the power detector, and avoid forced airflow or drafts around the detector for high-precision measurements.
