To perform a combustion efficiency measurement using the seitron S500-1 Residential HVAC Combustion Analyzer, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the analyzer is properly calibrated and the sensors are functioning correctly. Refer to the user guide for instructions on calibration and sensor replacement.
2. Turn on the analyzer by pressing the power button.
3. Select the "Combustion Efficiency" mode from the main menu on the display screen.
4. The analyzer will prompt you to enter the necessary parameters for the specific system you are testing. This may include the fuel type, stack temperature, ambient temperature, excess air, and other relevant information. Use the arrow keys or touch screen (if available) to input the values.
5. Once all the parameters are entered, the analyzer will display the combustion efficiency measurement. This value indicates how effectively the fuel is being burned and converted into heat.
6. You can also view additional measurements such as CO, CO2, O2, draft, and pressure on the same screen, depending on the model of the analyzer.
7. If desired, you can print the results using the built-in printer or wirelessly connect to a Bluetooth printer (if available).
8. After completing the measurement, make sure to properly store the analyzer and clean any probes or sensors as recommended in the user guide.
