Sure! Here are the step-by-step instructions for installing the JANSKA RHC-3092 Under Cabinet Range Hood:
1. Prior to installation, unpack the range hood and ensure that all the listed parts are included in the box.
2. Determine the location where you want to install the range hood. It should be installed under a cabinet, above a stove or hob. Make sure there is adequate space and clearance above the stove/hob.
3. Measure the distance between the stove top and the bottom of the range hood. It is recommended to have a distance between 24" to 30" for electric cooktops or 30" to 36" for gas stove tops. For gas stove tops, a minimum distance of 30" is required.
4. If necessary, install the vent system before installing the range hood. Ensure that there is proper clearance within the ceiling or walls for the exhaust vent.
5. There are two methods to install the range hood: A) Attach the range hood directly to the kitchen wall cabinet, or B) Attach the range hood to the wall via the wall mounting bracket.
- Method A: Attach the Range Hood Directly to the Kitchen Wall Cabinet
- Center the hood beneath the cabinet and align it with the front of the cabinet.
- Draw the power cable through the cabinet access opening.
- Insert screws from the inside of the hood into the knockout holes located at the top panel of the range hood and secure them to the cabinet bottom.
- Method B: Attach the Range Hood to the Wall via Wall Mounting Bracket
- Mark the leveling point of the hood on the wall.
- Insert two wall anchor screws on the wall, leaving a 1/8" space away from the wall.
- Fasten the wall mounting bracket to the back of the hood using the provided screws.
- Align the hood-mounting bracket to the screws on the wall and hook the hood into place. Tighten the screws to secure the hood to the wall.
6. Connect the range hood to the vent system using an 8" diameter venting pipe. Use HVAC foil tape or duct tape to make all joints secure and airtight.
7. Ensure that the range hood is properly grounded by a qualified electrician in accordance with all applicable electrical codes. Connect the range hood to a designated standard outlet.
8. Insert the grease tray into the stainless steel frame of the range hood.
9. Install the baffle filters by tilting them towards the back of the range hood frame, raising them upwards, sliding them forward, and then lowering them. Refer to the manual for the specific layout of baffle filters based on the model.
10. Turn on the power and check all lights and fan operations.
