To install an Option Board on the NEC MultiSync M Series monitor, please follow these steps:
1. Turn off the main power switch of the monitor.
2. Disconnect any signal cables or the power cord connected to the monitor.
3. Place the monitor face down on a flat and even surface that is larger than the monitor screen. Ensure that the table you use is sturdy enough to support the monitor's weight.
- Note: To prevent scratching the LCD panel, place a soft cloth, such as a blanket, larger than the monitor's screen area on the table before laying the monitor face down. Make sure there are no objects on the table that can damage the monitor.
4. Depending on the type of Option Board you have:
- For Intel® Smart Display Module Small (Intel® SDM-S): Remove the SLOT COVER.
- For Intel® Smart Display Module Large (Intel® SDM-L): Remove SLOT COVER a and b. Slide the CENTER RAIL to the right and remove it. Reverse the process to reattach it.
- For Raspberry Pi Compute Module: Remove the SLOT COVER.
5. Insert the Option Board into the monitor and affix it in place using the screws that were removed when taking off the slot cover.
- Note: Ensure that the board is inserted into the slot in the correct orientation. Do not apply excessive force to manipulate the Option Board before attaching it with screws.
- Warning: Make sure the Option Board is securely fastened using the original screws to prevent it from falling out. A falling Option Board may pose a danger.
6. Once the Option Board is installed, you can reconnect the signal cables and power cord.
- Note: Unless your monitor was purchased as part of a special bundle package, no Option Boards will be included in the box or installed in the monitor. These are optional accessories available for separate purchase. Please contact your supplier for a list of Option Boards available for your monitor.
7. Finally, turn on the main power switch of the monitor.
