To connect the ELECROW PCC-SMP Series Circuit Board Thermocouple to your circuit board, you will need to follow these steps:
1. Start by ensuring that you have the correct size connector for your circuit board. The PCC-SMP Series is the miniature size, while the PCC-OST Series is the standard size.
2. Use the supplied mounting bracket to securely attach the connector to the circuit board. The mounting bracket is included with each connector and is necessary for proper installation.
3. If you require cold junction temperature measurements at the transition from thermocouple alloy to copper wire, you can use the optional transistor retainer clip. This clip accepts TO-92 style transistors and can be added to the PCC connector.
4. When ordering the connector, specify the calibration type you need. The available options are Type J, K, T, E, N, and U. For the PCC-SMP and PCC-SMP-V connectors, you can choose from Type N and U as well.
5. If you require a vertical mount for your miniature size connector, choose the PCC-SMP-V option.
6. Note that the PCC-OST connector is only available in packages of 100. If you need the optional transistor retainer clip, add the suffix "-R" to the model number and consider the additional price.
7. If you require closed-end connectors designed for CE, add the suffix "-CE" to the model number. However, please note that the "-CE" version is only available for PCC-SMP and PCC-SMP-V connectors.
