To install the Brilliant 21896-05 Pacifica 48 Inch Metal AC Ceiling Fan, please follow the instructions provided in the Installation Manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Ensure that the ceiling fan is installed by a qualified electrician and that an electrical safety certificate is issued upon completion of the installation.
2. Choose a suitable location for the ceiling fan. It should be installed in the middle of the room, with a safe distance of at least 2.1 meters from the floor and 150 mm from the wall.
3. Mount the hanging bracket securely to the ceiling joist or a suitable structure capable of carrying a load of at least 45 kg.
4. Make the electrical connections by connecting the mains supply L Active cable to the terminal block at the wall controller. Ensure that the connections are firm and that all excess wiring is retained inside the ceiling canopy.
5. Attach the blades to the fan motor by removing the plastic shipping stabilizer tabs and fitting the blades with the bracket facing upward. Tighten the screws firmly.
6. Carefully lift the fan and place the down rod ball assembly into the mounting plate, ensuring that the ball correctly locks into place. Wire the fan to the power supply.
7. Attach the canopy by sliding it up to cover the hanging bracket and ball joint, taking care not to damage any wires. Secure the canopy with the provided screws.
8. Set the reverse switch to the appropriate position for the desired fan direction. In summer, the switch should be in the forward position for anti-clockwise rotation, and in winter, it should be reversed for clockwise rotation.
9. Check for any wobble and correct it by tightening all blade brackets securely. Interchanging adjacent blade pairs may also help redistribute the weight and result in smoother operation.
10. Perform periodic cleaning of the ceiling fan using a soft brush or lint-free cloth. Do not use water, as it may damage the motor or blades and pose an electrical shock risk.
