To connect the VMBHIS Home Center Interface Server to your Velbus installation and LAN, follow these steps:
1. Connect the VMBHIS server module to your Velbus demotics system using a USB cable and either the VMB1USB or VMBRSUSB module.
2. Connect the VMBHIS server module to your LAN using a standard network connection (RJ45).
3. Connect the power cable (mains voltage) to the VMBHIS server module. Make sure to connect the power cable last, after the USB cable and network cable are connected.
4. Ensure that you have a working internet connection before connecting the VMBHIS to the mains voltage. If your Velbus installation is in a location without an internet connection, you need to activate the VMBHIS license beforehand where an internet connection is available.
5. Once the power cable is connected, the VMBHIS server will be activated immediately. It will detect both the network and the Velbus system at startup.
6. Wait for approximately 5 minutes after connecting the power cord for the activation and first scan to be completed. The VMBHIS will be ready to use.
