To measure DC current using the PeakTech 3203 Analog Ammeter, follow these steps:
1. Always start with the highest measuring range.
2. Choose the desired range (5mA / 50mA / 500mA / 10A) using the rotary switch.
3. Insert the black test lead into the COM socket and for current measurements below 500mA, use the mA socket. For current measurements above 500mA, use the 10A input socket.
4. Switch OFF or disconnect the circuit to be measured from all power sources.
5. Connect the multimeter in series with the conductor in which the current is to be measured.
6. Switch ON the circuit.
7. Read the measured value from the analogue display.
Important: This unit is equipped with a 0.5 amp fuse for ranges below 500mA and a 10 amp fuse for the 10A range. To prevent damage to the device and ensure safety, make sure to note the maximum input values.
Please refer to the instruction manual for further details and safety precautions.
