The WM Systems M2M IORS485 Data Concentrator 16DI has different input modes - dry contact, wet voltage, and open collector. Here is how you can wire the inputs for each mode:
1. Dry (contact) inputs:
- Set the internal jumper to DRY mode.
- Wire the cables to the required inputs and connect them to the common ground (DGND).
- The device will continuously count the input changes.
2. Wet (voltage) inputs:
- Set the internal jumper to WET mode.
- Wire the cables to the required inputs.
- For DI1-DI8 inputs, wire 24V DC power to the Vcc1 input.
- For DI9-DI16 inputs, wire 24V DC power to the Vcc2 input.
- Connect a common ground to the inputs.
- The device will continuously count the input changes.
3. Open collector inputs:
- Wire the required inputs in a way that 24V DC power is connected to the positive (+) side.
- Connect the input to the negative (-) wire.
- Connect every other input to the common negative (-) wire.
Please refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations on wiring the inputs of the WM Systems M2M IORS485 Data Concentrator 16DI.
