To insert and change the bandsaw blade on the HILTI SB 4-A22 Cordless Band Saw, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the product is switched off and the battery is removed before starting the procedure.
2. Slacken the two screws securing the blade cover and remove the cover.
3. Turn the side handle counterclockwise to unscrew it from the casing of the bandsaw.
4. Swivel the lever in the direction of rotation through its full 180° of travel. Note that the side handle has to be removed to allow the lever to pivot.
5. Slip the bandsaw blade into the blade guides, one after the other. Make sure that the back of the blade touches the bearings in the bottom of the blade guides.
6. Slip the bandsaw blade over both rollers, one after the other.
7. Swivel the lever in the direction of rotation through its full 180° of travel.
8. Check that the bandsaw blade is correctly guided over both rollers.
9. Reinstall the blade cover, making sure it is correctly seated.
10. Engage the threads of the side handle and turn it clockwise to xxxx it into the casing of the bandsaw.
11. Check that the bandsaw blade is correctly seated by repeatedly switching the bandsaw on and then off again.
