To light the pilot on the GARLAND GD-15G Designer Series Natural Gas 15" Countertop Griddle, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the gas supply to the griddle is turned off.
2. Locate the pilot burner and the pilot adjusting valve under each burner valve.
3. Open the bottom door of the griddle to access the pilot adjusting valve.
4. Use a long thin straight blade screwdriver to adjust the pilot valve. Refer to the Flame Size Chart in the installation guide for the correct pilot flame length.
5. Push in the tap and turn it anti-clockwise to the ignition position " ".
6. While holding the tap fully in, depress the ignitor button located behind the front door to ignite the pilot. If the pilot does not light, repeatedly depress the ignitor button until it does.
7. Continue to hold the tap in for 20 seconds to allow the pilot flame to stabilize. If the pilot goes out, wait for 5 minutes and repeat from step 5.
8. Once the pilot is established, push the tap in again and turn it anti-clockwise to the full flame position " " to light the main burner.
9. To shut off the burner, turn the dial to the " " position. The safety device will disengage within 60 seconds.
