To set up the ASUS XT9 ZenWiFi AX7800 Tri Band WiFi Router as an AiMesh system, follow these steps:
1. Power on both ZenWiFi XT9 routers.
2. Connect your optical modem to the WAN port of one of the ZenWiFi XT9 routers using a network cable. This router will be the AiMesh router.
3. Wait for the LED on the AiMesh router to turn solid blue, indicating that it is ready for setup.
4. Launch the ASUS Router App on your mobile device.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to complete the AiMesh setup process.
Note: During the setup process, make sure to place the AiMesh router and node within 3 meters of each other for optimal performance.
If you encounter any issues during setup, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Move the AiMesh node closer to the AiMesh router, ideally within 3 meters.
- Ensure that the AiMesh node is powered on.
- Check for any interference from devices like cordless phones, Bluetooth devices, or microwave ovens, and keep the routers away from them.
