The assembly of the SUNJOE SJ-SHLV07 Shovelution Strain Reducing Utility Digging Shovel is quite straightforward. Here are the steps to assemble the shovel:
1. Start by removing any zip ties that secure the handle. It is important to securely grasp the handle before cutting the zip ties to avoid injury, as the handle is spring-loaded under heavy tension.
2. Once the zip ties are removed, align the handle with the shovel head. The shovel head has a spearhead shape and is made of rugged, forged steel.
3. Insert the handle into the socket on the shovel head. Make sure the handle is fully inserted and securely attached to the shovel head.
4. Once the handle is properly attached, you can begin using the shovel. The ergonomically-designed spring assist handle will shift lifting leverage to the lower hand, reducing strain on your back and making it easier to lift heavy loads of dirt and mulch, dig shrubs, or trenches with minimal effort.
