To connect the Aquarian Audio PA1-P48 Hydrophone Buffer/Preamp to your audio device, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your audio device has a mic input that provides bias power, ranging from 2.5V plug-in power to 48V phantom power.
2. Connect the hydrophone to the adapter. The hydrophone should have a compatible connector that can be plugged into the adapter.
3. Connect the adapter to the mic input of your audio device. If you have the XLR version of the PA1, use an XLR cable to connect the adapter to the XLR mic input of your audio device.
4. Enable phantom power on your audio device. This can usually be done through a physical switch or within the menu system of your audio device. Phantom power is an option available on most professional-grade audio devices with microphone inputs.
Note: It is important to select the lowest voltage available for phantom power to minimize noise and power usage. The Aquarian Audio PA1-P48 Hydrophone Buffer/Preamp is designed to work with IEC P48 phantom power, but it should also work with other available phantom power supplies. However, performance may vary with alternate standards.
